Merchandise Analyst

We're looking for an analytical and commercially minded Merchandise Analyst to join our Retail Merchandise team in Mount Waverley.

This role is perfect for someone with 2-5 years' experience in an analytical, finance, accounting, reporting or business support role who is looking to take the next step in their career. You'll gain exposure to merchandise planning, supplier performance, inventory management and retail operations while working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

In this varied and fast-paced role, you'll be responsible for:

• Producing daily, weekly and monthly sales and trade reporting
• Analysing sales, inventory and supplier performance data
• Investigating overdue stock orders and delivery issues
• Monitoring supplier and distribution centre performance
• Preparing reports and insights to support commercial decisions
• Identifying trends, opportunities and process improvements
• Working closely with Merchandise, Supply Chain and Store Operations teams
• Supporting promotional analysis and planning activities

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with data and turning information into meaningful insights.

You'll bring:

• 2-5 years' experience in an analytical, finance, accounting, reporting or business-related role
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• A proactive approach and genuine desire to learn
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment

Nice to have:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar
• Experience in retail, supply chain, inventory or merchandise environments
• Reporting and data analysis experience
