The Commissioning Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities on mission-critical data centre projects across Europe. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Management teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients, the successful candidate will ensure systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience on large-scale data centre projects while developing expertise in commissioning, testing, and project handover processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of commissioning activities in line with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), system testing, and commissioning activities.
• Carry out system walk-downs, inspections, and audits, ensuring all findings are documented and closed out in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation and management of commissioning documentation, including test packs, commissioning plans, reports, and handover records.
• Track commissioning progress, punch-list items, and system readiness to support successful project completion.
• Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, equipment vendors, and clients to ensure commissioning activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Support the preparation of O&M manuals, record documentation, certificates, and project close-out information.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and share lessons learned across projects.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in commissioning, mechanical and electrical contracting, building services, or data centre projects.
• Good understanding of commissioning processes within mission-critical or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to demanding project schedules.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
• Competent in Microsoft Office and working with digital project documentation systems.
• Willingness to travel across Europe as required by project needs.
