Role Summary
This position requires a skilled Site Support Technician and Infrastructure Technician with a minimum of four years of combined experience. The role involves installing and supporting network hardware in retail, consumer, and industrial environments. The technician will work independently, sometimes leading or mentoring team members, while ensuring reliable network infrastructure installation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install network equipment including access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers, and modems in a layer 1 capacity without configuration.
- Support network infrastructure deployment and troubleshooting in retail, consumer, and industrial settings.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare installation reports as needed.
- Perform hardware diagnostics and identify issues related to physical network components.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure timely deployment of network hardware.
- Exhibit flexibility to work overnight shifts as required.
- Travel up to 70% to various client sites to complete installations and support activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installed equipment and site-specific details.
- Follow safety protocols and best practices during hardware installation and maintenance.
- Assist in mentoring junior team members and lead installation projects independently when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years’ experience in a Site Support Technician and/or Infrastructure Technician role or similar.
- At least three years of experience working in retail, consumer, or industrial environments.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience installing physical network hardware such as access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers, and modems.
- Prior experience with overnight work shifts.
- Willing and able to travel up to 70% to client locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the relevant location.
- Ability to adhere to safety standards and procedures.
Publishing Pay Range: $34.19 - $35.27 hourly
This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
