Director of Mortgage Operations

Lead mortgage operations for Cornerstone First Mortgage's Miami branch, overseeing the loan lifecycle from completed application through funding. Build and develop the operations team, establish workflows and reporting, manage pipeline and turn times, ensure quality and compliance, coordinate with corporate teams and builder partners, and support loan officers with complex file structuring. English-Spanish bilingual fluency is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan setup, processing, underwriting coordination, conditions, closing, and post-closing from completed application through funding.
• Manage turn times, clear-to-close schedules, and the team's 24-hour pre-approval standard.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop the operations team, including the Operations Manager, processors, pre-approval specialists, and loan officer assistants.
• Develop written workflows and SOPs for operational handoffs and onboarding.
• Conduct daily pipeline reviews, monitor aging and lock reports, and deliver a weekly operations scorecard to the Branch Manager.
• Manage builder partner updates and closing-date commitments while ensuring file quality, disclosure and TRID timing, investor overlay compliance, and audit readiness.
