4419 Software Developer with Security Clearance

OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to support the design, development, integration, and maintenance of mission-critical software solutions in a secure government environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong software engineering expertise with a focus on Java and/or Python development, experience working across the full software development lifecycle, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative team setting. GENERAL DUTIES: * Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications using Java and/or Python. * Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions. * Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, analysts, and stakeholders. * Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to software development best practices. * Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues. * Develop and maintain technical documentation. * Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. * Integrate software with databases, APIs, and third-party services as required. * Support software deployment, configuration management, and continuous improvement initiatives. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Master's degree and 8 years of relevant software development experience; OR * Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant software development experience; OR No degree and 12 years of relevant software development experience. * Strong experience developing applications in Java and/or Python. * Experience with object-oriented design and software engineering principles. * Experience with software testing, debugging, and performance optimization. * Experience working within Agile software development environments. * Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. * Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-level software applications. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programs. * Experience with cloud technologies and containerization platforms. * Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices. * Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. * Experience with secure software development practices. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. CLEARANCE: * Active Top Secret clearance minimum required
