Senior Laboratory Support

We are seeking a Senior Laboratory Support to join The Native Antigen Company Production team at our Kidlington, Oxford site.

This is a key site-based role supporting laboratory operations across multiple departments. You will play a vital role in maintaining laboratory readiness, ensuring equipment remains compliant and operational, coordinating preventative maintenance and service contracts, managing consumable stocks, and supporting the efficient running of scientific activities across the facility.

One focus of the role will be the management of laboratory equipment following appropriate training, including coordination of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), calibration activities, servicing schedules, contractor visits, asset management and equipment repairs. You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers to ensure critical laboratory equipment remains fit for purpose and available to support manufacturing, quality control and research activities.

Alongside equipment management, you will support media and buffer preparation, laboratory housekeeping, waste management, stock control, goods receipt and general laboratory support activities to help ensure the smooth operation of our production and quality laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate laboratory equipment maintenance, servicing, calibration, repairs and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage equipment records, asset registers, service contracts and contractor visits.
• Support equipment ownership activities following appropriate training and ensure equipment remains compliant and operational.
• Monitor laboratory equipment performance, raise maintenance requests and coordinate corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Manage laboratory consumables, chemicals and stock inventories, including ordering and replenishment.
• Receive and process incoming goods and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Prepare media, buffers and supporting solutions in accordance with approved procedures.
• Support waste management, glassware processing and general laboratory readiness activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in line with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Support laboratory housekeeping, safety, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the implementation of new equipment, systems and operational improvements.
• Provide laboratory support across production, quality and research teams as required.

• Practical laboratory experience - either wet work and/or equipment maintenance experience.
• Experience working within a laboratory, manufacturing, quality control or regulated environment.
• Experience coordinating equipment maintenance, calibration or service activities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and quality requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
