Role: Senior Cisco Network Engineer

An active Cisco CCNP certification (Enterprise or Data Center) is required. Candidates without a current CCNP certification will not be considered.
8+ years of enterprise or data center network engineering experience is required; 12+ years is required for Principal-level candidates.
Only candidates who live within a reasonable driving distance of Ramsey, NJ will be considered.
Healthcare experience is required.
CCNP Enterprise certification is required.
Strong Cisco Networking/Switching background.
Comfortable navigating and working in a Data Center environment.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on enterprise or data center Network Engineering experience.
8+ years of enterprise or data center network engineering experience as per the updated requirement.
Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Data Center certification.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst (3K/4K/9K) and Cisco Nexus (5K/7K/9K) switching platforms.
Strong expertise in Layer 2 technologies including:
VLANs
802.1Q trunking
Spanning Tree
Port channels
LACP/PAGP
VPC
Strong expertise in Layer 3 switching including:
SVIs
Multilayer switching
OSPF
EIGRP
BGP
HSRP/VRRP/GLBP
IP routing fundamentals
Solid hands-on experience with fiber optic networking, including:
SFP/SFP+
QSFP+/QSFP28
SMF/MMF
DOM monitoring
OTDR
Optical troubleshooting
Working familiarity with enterprise firewall interface connectivity and switch-to-firewall segmentation.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in enterprise networking environments.
Proven experience leading network assessments or architecture reviews and producing formal deliverables.
Expert knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms.
Strong knowledge of high-availability design, network security architecture, and NGFW integration.
Excellent technical writing and executive communication skills.
Healthcare experience, including HIPAA familiarity, is required.
