Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Feature Systems Engineer to drive the creation, analysis, and tracking of Customer Feature Objectives (CFOs) for platform- and program-specific new feature developments. Operating in the automotive sector, this role focuses on aligning technical standards with overall project objectives, supporting global feature strategies, and conducting competitive benchmarking to enhance overall product development.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university)

· 3 to 5 years of automotive industry experience

· Direct experience with Automotive Systems and Functional Domains (e.g., Body, Chassis, Electrical, Interior)

· Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety standards

· Understanding of INCOSE requirements decomposition principles

· Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and industry best practices

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

· Proven project coordination capabilities

· Mandatory background check upon hire.

Preferred Skills

·         Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering (or ABET-accredited equivalent)

·         Direct Systems Engineering experience in the automotive domain

·         Hands-on experience with IBM DOORS or similar ALM/PLM management tools

·         Proficiency in creating and interpreting system network topology diagrams

·         Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex technical problems across software, hardware, and field implementations
