Sales Account Manager

Straton Industries is a global supplier of precision machined components supporting customers across a wide range of industries including aerospace and defense, semiconductor fixtures and assemblies, FAA component repair, and “lights-out” precision machining services. We are looking to create a sales presence within our company by hiring a motivated, energetic, and results-driven individual who is eager to build relationships, develop new business, and grow within our fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship builder with a passion for sales and account growth.

Position Summary

The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing successful, long-term relationships with current and future customers while driving profitable revenue growth and achieving sales targets. This position manages customer accounts, identifies new business opportunities, understands client needs, and recommends solutions that deliver value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify new business opportunities in all of our business sectors.
  • Collaborate with quoting and engineering teams to create tailored solutions that meet customer specifications and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and formal quotations.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedule to ensure mutual success.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform sales strategy.
  • Manage the full sales cycle – from prospecting to closing – while maintaining accurate CRM records.
  • Responsible for identifying, proposing, and closing potential sales of customers.
  • Present yearly sales/business plan to key business leaders with goals, key customers, competitors, ideas to increase sales revenue and product support for both new and established customer base.
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly updates with key customers and representatives to maintain accurate notes for database of customer activity in all accounts through CRM.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • 7-10+ years technical sales experience
  • Strong problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written
  • Be able to work in an environment with a high degree of self-motivation and independence
  • Comfortable working as a collaborating partner with our internal Engineering, Operations and related departments to delivery world-class services
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
