Job Description

Role: Principal Solution Engineer– Microsoft Fabric & AI
Location: Canada/USA – Remote
Experience: 12+ years
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders and engineering leaders.
  • Design scalable Data, Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, AI, and Cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, POCs, design reviews, troubleshooting, and development.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as ClaudeCode to improve engineering productivity.
  • Lead and coordinate onshore/offshore engineering teams.
  • Mentor engineers and establish engineering standards and best practices.
  • Participate in client workshops, solution discussions, proposals, estimates, and technical presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and account growth.
Required Skills:
  • 12+ years in technical leadership, solution architecture, or consulting.
  • Strong experience in Data Engineering, Microsoft Fabric, Analytics, Cloud, and AI/GenAI.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, and related analytics capabilities.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Experience leading distributed/onshore-offshore teams.
  • Strong architecture, problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Microsoft Fabric, AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake
  • LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Generative AI
  • Cloud modernization and enterprise data transformation
  • Consulting, RFPs, proposals, estimates, and account growth
  • DevOps, CI/CD, automation, and modern software engineering
