Information Security Analyst - Governance Automation & Integration Lead

We are not accepting C2C or 1099 arrangements.

Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred) or Chandler, AZ
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

About the Role

We are seeking a senior-level Information Security Analyst to lead automation and integration initiatives within the Information Protection and Governance organization. In this highly visible individual contributor role, you will drive the transformation of governance, risk, compliance, and security control processes from manual activities into scalable, automated, and sustainable solutions.

You will partner with security, technology, engineering, data, and risk stakeholders to design and deliver automation frameworks, API integrations, workflow solutions, and reporting capabilities that improve operational efficiency, strengthen control execution, and enhance audit readiness across the enterprise.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex governance challenges through technology, automation, and process innovation while operating in a large-scale, highly regulated environment.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions that enhance governance, risk, compliance, and information protection processes.
  • Build scalable integrations and connectors across enterprise applications, internally developed platforms, and third-party technologies.
  • Develop reusable automation components, scripts, and workflows that reduce manual effort and improve control consistency.
  • Translate governance, policy, risk, and regulatory requirements into automated technical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and modernize manual governance and control processes through automation.
  • Design and maintain API-driven integrations using enterprise integration patterns and secure development practices.
  • Partner with business, technology, engineering, and data teams to deliver sustainable governance execution models.
  • Produce audit-ready documentation, metrics, reporting, and evidence supporting regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Support responsible AI and automation adoption by embedding governance controls into enterprise processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve scalability, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Information Security, IT Risk, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
  • Experience designing and implementing workflow automation, governance automation, or enterprise integration solutions.
  • Strong experience developing system-to-system integrations using APIs, web services, and modern integration frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience translating business, governance, risk, or compliance requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to independently deliver automation initiatives in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting audit, risk, governance, or regulatory programs within highly regulated organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without formal authority.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting, metrics, dashboards, and operational governance programs.
Technical Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with scripting and automation technologies such as:
    • Python
    • PowerShell
    • VBA
    • Similar automation languages
  • Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting API-based integrations.
  • Familiarity with structured data formats including:
    • JSON
    • XML
    • CSV
  • Experience building integrations between enterprise platforms, internal applications, and reporting systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • Data Validation
    • Advanced Analysis
  • Experience with enterprise reporting, analytics, and data platforms.
  • Understanding of human-in-the-loop controls and governance considerations when utilizing enterprise AI technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate.
  • Experience developing dashboards and analytics using Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Information Protection, Data Security, or Data Governance experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide security and compliance transformation initiatives.
