Software Engineer

Presence is seeking a remote Software Engineer to help design, build, and optimize high-performing marketing and ecommerce websites for small and local businesses. In this fully remote role, you'll collaborate with designers, strategists, and marketers to implement responsive interfaces, integrate APIs and analytics, and improve site speed, accessibility, and SEO. You'll work with modern JavaScript, CMS platforms, and marketing tools to ship data-informed experiments and features that drive measurable client growth in traffic, leads, and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive marketing and ecommerce websites for small and local businesses.
• Implement front-end features using modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS aligned with UX/UI designs.
• Integrate APIs, analytics, and marketing tools to support data-informed campaigns and experiments.
• Optimize site performance, accessibility, and technical SEO to improve rankings and conversions.
• Collaborate closely with designers, strategists, and marketers in a cross-functional, remote environment.
• Write clean, maintainable code with version control, code reviews, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across the stack.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and documentation.
