Job Description

We are looking for a Search Architect to serve as the primary onsite technical lead for enterprise search initiatives built on Lucidworks Fusion and Apache Solr. This role owns end-to-end search architecture, release management, production support governance, and search relevance optimization, while providing technical direction to offshore development and support teams.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of enterprise search experience, deep hands-on expertise with Lucidworks Fusion pipelines, query workflows, collections, and connectors, and strong AWS cloud and DevOps/CI-CD experience, paired with strong client-facing communication skills.

Required Skills:

• 12+ years of enterprise search experience
• 6+ years of Lucidworks Fusion implementation and support experience
• Strong expertise in Apache Solr architecture and administration
• Fusion pipelines, query workflows, collections, and connectors
• Search relevance tuning and analytics experience
• Production support and release management experience
• AWS Cloud (EC2, ECS/Fargate, S3, Lambda, DocumentDB)
• DevOps and CI/CD implementation
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills:

• Generative AI and Agentic AI exposure
• Semantic Search and Vector Search implementations
• Java, Python, REST APIs
• Microservices architecture
• E-commerce search domain experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary onsite contact for all Lucidworks Fusion Search-related initiatives
• Define end-to-end enterprise search architecture leveraging Fusion, Solr, and AWS
• Own release planning, deployment coordination, and production support governance
• Lead search relevance tuning, ranking strategies, synonyms, boosts, and facets
• Provide technical direction and day-to-day guidance to offshore development and support teams
• Drive adoption of AI-powered search capabilities including vector, semantic, and GenAI-driven search
