Senior Process Automation Engineer | River Falls, WI, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Design, develop, test, and commission industrial process automation systems for service project upgrades.
  • Serve as a technical lead on projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams across diverse industries including Food, Dairy, Beverage, and Pharmaceutical.
  • Support sales efforts by participating in customer meetings, providing technical pre-sales support, and assisting with proposal development.
  • Develop detailed Process Functional Descriptions (FDs) and design automation software utilizing knowledge of computer systems, networks, and industrial control platforms.
  • Coordinate with electrical designers on control panel and automation system design, and create requisitions for automation and electrical equipment.
  • Commission instrumentation, electrical, and control systems at customer sites, performing I/O checkout and supporting close-out of punch-list items.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Typically, 5+ years of experience in a similar automation engineering role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software tools; experience with Rockwell Automation is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
