Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Small Works, Housing and Maintenance. We employ over 280 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.
We are looking to recruit an IT Modern Apprentice to join our team based at our Head Office in Paisley.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to start a career in IT. Working as part of our IT team, you will gain hands-on experience while receiving support and training to develop your technical knowledge and skills.
Duties will include:
- Providing first-line IT support to colleagues across the business
- Assisting with the setup and maintenance of laptops, mobile devices and printers
- Supporting Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams and Office
- Helping to troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues
- Assisting with user account administration and password resets
- Supporting remote users and site-based staff with IT-related queries
- Assisting with the maintenance of our IT equipment and systems
- Learning about cyber security best practices and helping to maintain a secure IT environment
- Providing excellent customer service when dealing with IT support requests
What We're Looking For
- An interest in IT and technology with a desire to build a career in the industry
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A full driving licence would be advantageous, although not essential
Desirable
- National 5s, Highers or equivalent qualifications
- Any previous experience of working with computers, networks or technology through school, college, hobbies or work experience
