Job Description

IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst (SMO Analyst)

IDR is seeking an IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support enterprise technology sourcing, procurement, and supplier management for one of our clients. This role will partner with IT leaders, business stakeholders, and Legal to manage sourcing events, negotiate technology contracts, optimize supplier spend, and reduce vendor risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Support IT sourcing initiatives from requirements gathering and sourcing strategy through due diligence, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and execution.

  • Develop and manage RFPs, evaluate supplier proposals, and communicate recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Analyze technology spend and identify opportunities for savings, vendor consolidation, and improved contract value.

  • Negotiate technology agreements and partner with Legal to ensure compliance with corporate contracting standards.

  • Review supplier pricing, usage, service levels, and contract performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Monitor supplier financial health and performance, identify risks, and coordinate mitigation plans.

  • Serve as a primary sourcing contact for assigned business units and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing.

  • Proven experience supporting complex sourcing events, RFP processes, and contract negotiations.

  • Experience working with IT vendors and technology contracts.

  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex contract specifications, policies, and procedures.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential financial, contractual, and organizational information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting enterprise sourcing or procurement transformation initiatives.

  • Experience with supplier relationship management, spend optimization, and vendor risk assessment.
