Part Time Infant Nanny – New York, NY
A welcoming family in New York, NY is seeking an engaging part-time nanny to care for their 7-month-old infant, beginning in early January 2027. This is a dog-friendly home, and the family is looking for a collaborative caregiver to foster developmental milestones in a screen-free environment.
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (core non-negotiable hours)
- 20 guaranteed hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 30 hours per week as needed
- Anticipated start date: January 4, 2027
Family Specifications:
- Screen-free environment for baby; personal phone use strictly limited to urgent matters, parent logistics, and downtime during naps
- Pet in home: one small dog (caregiver is not expected to walk or provide pet care)
- Values open, transparent communication and building a warm, trusted connection
- Seeking a long-term fit who can grow with the family (including potential relocation if the family moves to Brooklyn in a year)
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary infant care, including bottle feeding, diaper changes, and maintaining nap routines
- Engage the baby in interactive, age-appropriate developmental play and sensory activities
- Take the baby on daily outdoor stroller walks (weather permitting)
- Clean up after the baby and oneself during care hours (washing bottles, tidying meal and play areas)
Requirements:
- Verifiable experience caring for infants
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strict commitment to the family's screen-free environment and device guidelines during working hours
- Comfortable working in a home with a small dog
Preferred:
- 3–5 years of professional infant caregiving experience
- French or Spanish language proficiency
Compensation:
- $30-$32 per hour
