A CT Technologist, also known as a Computed Tomography Technologist, uses specialized equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human body for diagnostic purposes, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating various conditions.
CT Technologist
The CT Technologist performs technical procedures, applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates equipment used to expose the x-ray image as well as process and organize the image in PACS.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology required
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT concepts to include head, body, MSK, spine and chest imaging
Experience Requirements:
One year of CT experience preferred. Candidates DO NOT need to have acute care experience for the client hospital. However, for the FSED opportunities they need to have acute care experience
Certification/Licensure Requirements:
FL State Registered Radiologic Technician License
Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
Registered Computerized Tomography Technician
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS
