Target salary is $190-$220k with 20% discretionary bonus

This person will lead the engineering teams behind the Clearing platform: the Clearing API (cAPI), application development, back office and data, market risk, and quality assurance. You will lead roughly 49 people, including augmented staff, within Securities Technology and report to the SVP, Securities Application Development.

You will also lead Clearing's move to the AI-driven development lifecycle (AIDLC), in which AI agents assist across planning, build, test, review and documentation while named humans keep approval, risk and security accountability. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: you are expected to roll up your sleeves and code where necessary.

Hands-on engineering

  • Stay close to the code: write, debug and review SQL, Java and Groovy directly where it unblocks delivery, for example production issues, data validation and reconciliation, scripts and integration fixes, and review of agent-generated code.

  • Set the engineering standard by example, and step in on critical incidents and migrations rather than only directing others.

  • Lead the Clearing API (cAPI), application development, back-office and data, market risk, and QA teams.

  • Deliver the Clearing technology roadmap with the SVP, Securities Application Development, aligned to the convergence of APW, AUC, AAS and Clearing

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status. We consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with state and local laws, including the California Fair Chance Act, City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
