Want to take ownership of electrical engineering projects from concept and design through to commissioning and operation?

Were recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering projects across renewable energy, power generation, Energy from Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, battery storage and carbon capture.

This is not a purely desk-based electrical design role. Youll combine electrical engineering, project delivery, site work and commissioning, working across a varied portfolio of HV and LV projects.

Importantly, you do not need to be the finished article.

Were interested in experienced Electrical Project Engineers who are ready for greater responsibility, but we will also consider high-calibre Electrical Engineering graduates with strong analytical ability, technical aptitude and the curiosity to question how things can be improved.

The Electrical Project Engineer role

Youll work across the full project lifecycle, including:

• Electrical design and engineering
• HV and LV electrical systems
• Feasibility studies and technical assessments
• Project engineering and technical delivery
• SCADA and process control systems
• Grid-connected power and renewable energy projects
• Site surveys and project visits
• Testing, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Technical reports, specifications and proposals
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, utilities and regulatory bodies

Youll gain genuine cradle-to-grave project exposure, from early-stage feasibility and concept design through construction, commissioning and operational support.

Experience within power generation, renewable energy, HV/LV systems, grid connections, SCADA, industrial electrical systems, EPC projects or commissioning would be particularly relevant.

Youll ideally hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Package

Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
Car Allowance: £4,000
Location: Home based
Travel: Regular travel to UK project sites with occasional overseas travel
