Project Manager (Multi-Utilities) Our client, a leading provider within the utilities sector, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This role will involve managing a portfolio of multi-utility connection projects across the South West, with a particular focus on 11kV electricity connections.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Multi-Utility Project Manager or an electrically biased Project Manager with a strong background in utility connection projects. You'll be responsible for a portfolio valued at approximately £2 million, managing 20-30 live projects at various stages, including design, legal, and construction phases.
The business offers excellent opportunities for professional development, including exposure to water and gas connections and progression into higher-voltage projects ranging from 33kV to 132kV.
Key Responsibilities Manage multi-utility connection projects from inception through to completion.<br />Liaise closely with Senior Project Managers, Operations Managers, Design Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors to ensure successful project delivery.<br />Manage site Supervisors, direct labour, and subcontractors.<br />Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and safety requirements, including NRSWA.<br />Maintain commercial awareness, including responsibility for project P&L performance.<br />Demonstrate an understanding of NERS, WIRS and GIRS accreditation standards.<br />Build and maintain strong relationships with residential and commercial developers, ICPs, and key stakeholders.<br />Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams.<br />Maintain accurate project documentation and produce regular progress reports.<br />Monitor programme delivery, budgets, health and safety, and quality standards.
Requirements Previous experience as a Project Manager within the multi-utilities sector, ideally managing 11kV connection projects.<br />Strong understanding of electricity distribution networks and connection works.<br />Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.<br />Knowledge of CDM Regulations, NRSWA requirements, and safe digging practices.<br />Excellent organisational and leadership skills.<br />Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate activities across several sites.<br />Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.<br />Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.<br />Comfortable working within a hybrid working environment.
