Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong test automation, data validation, and software engineering experience.

This role focuses heavily on End-to-End (E2E) test automation, database validation, data analysis, and automated comparison of Mainframe and AWS RDS data. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright, Cucumber/Serenity Cucumber, Python, SQL, and Java.

The engineer will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and well-tested software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated E2E test solutions.

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright and Cucumber/Serenity Cucumber.

• Write Python scripts to compare, reconcile, and identify differences between Mainframe and AWS RDS data.

• Perform detailed SQL queries and database validation.

• Analyze large datasets, including millions of records, and identify data discrepancies efficiently.

• Validate data integrity across multiple systems and applications.

• Develop automated tests covering UI, API, integration, and database layers.

• Work with Java and Spring-based applications and RESTful services.

• Collaborate with development, architecture, product, and business teams to identify and resolve technical issues.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum/Kanban ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Support test-driven development, code reviews, test reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud strategy, and build/deployment automation.

• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, scalable, and cost-effective software solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development and/or test automation experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright

• Strong experience with Cucumber / Serenity Cucumber

• Strong Python scripting experience

• Expert-level SQL

• Strong experience with database testing and validation

• Hands-on E2E test automation experience

• Experience with data analysis and data reconciliation

• Experience handling and analyzing large datasets

• Strong Java development experience

• Experience with Spring / Spring-based applications

• Experience with RESTful services

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments

• Experience with Jira and Jira Align

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

Financial Services Experience

Experience in Financial Services, Capital Markets, Brokerage, Securities, Trading, Equity, Options, or Fixed Income is highly preferred.

Experience working with large financial datasets, trading systems, brokerage platforms, or capital markets data is a strong advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior Software Engineer / SDET / Test Automation Engineer who combines strong software engineering skills with deep automation and data-validation experience.

The strongest candidates will have experience with:

Playwright + Cucumber + Python + SQL + E2E Automation + Database Validation + Java/Spring + AWS/RDS + Data Analysis

Experience comparing Mainframe and cloud/database data is a significant advantage.
