Fire Damper Assistant

We also deliver Facilities Management services and we are looking for an assistant for our Fire Damper Maintenance Engineer, who can attend our customers’ sites to provide assistance in maintain fire dampers and other HVAC equipment, as well as cutting access hatches and completing enabling and making good works to a high standard.

As a Fire Damper Assistant you will:

  • Assist a HVAC engineer to carry out maintenance to fire dampers and other HVAC equipment under supervision

  • Cut out hatches, complete enabling and making good works to a high standard

  • Work on multiple customer sites across the North West, ensuring deadlines are met and our KPI performance is maintained

  • Complete maintenance documentation to a high standard, ensuring accuracy

  • Support our projects division by meeting subcontractors on sites, carrying out inductions and supervising their work on site.

  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures

  • Be customer-focussed and build great relationships with everyone you work with

  • Carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

  • Order materials

  • Other duties as needed

The right person would also have the following qualities:

  • Someone who has experience within the FM industry (desirable).

  • Someone who has experience in building fabric maintenance (desirable)

  • Experience using power tools

  • Someone with an interest in health and safety

  • Somone with competent handyperson skills, able to provide a first look at various maintenance tasks and refer to other engineers as needed

  • Someone who is comfortable working autonomously, who enjoys having a wide variety of tasks and is happy travelling.

  • Someone who is highly organised, has meticulous attention to detail and is passionate about quality

  • A confident communicator who likes to work collaboratively & is comfortable building relationships with a range of stakeholders
