Tech Ops - Prime Brokerage - Asset Services - GMS Advisors

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Prime Finance Technical Analyst to provide hands-on support for Prime Finance businesses, including Prime Brokerage, Swap and Securities Lending with products covering Equity, Options, Fixed Income and OTC. This role focuses on Platform support, analysis, and delivery execution, working closely with the Product, Technology and Operations teams. This role will focus on the firm’s Asset and Tax Services platforms. The contractor will support these platforms, troubleshoot issues, deliver enhancements, and ensure stability of these critical systems.

Role Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

Key responsibilities:

· Support Asset Services and Tax teams and platforms

o Monitor and Support platform operations including, exception processing and maintenance.

o Monitor dependencies across global teams and vendors in multi-region financial operations.

o Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls (e.g., audit, risk, and compliance standards).

· Liaison across Product, Client Services, Asset Services, Tax, Operations and Technology teams.

Platform Support

· Provide Level 2/3 production & functional support

· Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across order lifecycle, executions, and post-trade flows

· Partner directly with the various teams, and vendors to ensure post trade platform & system reliability

Technical Delivery & Enhancements

· Translating business requirements into technical specifications and solutions

· Develop, test, and implement system enhancements and fixes

· Support SQL and Python-based analysis, automation, and tooling

· Contribute to integration efforts across upstream/downstream systems

Analysis & Problem Solving

· Diagnosing issues and documenting/communicating root cause analysis

· Conduct data analysis and reconciliation support across trade lifecycle

· Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements

SDLC & Governance

· Participate in full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including testing and release support

· Ensure adherence to release management, version control, and production standards

· Support documentation of technical solutions and processes

Stakeholder Engagement

· Collaborate with Product & Business stakeholders to interpret requirements

· Provide technical consultation and advisory support to project teams

· Communicate clearly across FO/MO/BO and vendor teams

Required Skills & Experience: · 5+ years of experience in technical analysis, platform support or development supporting Global Markets · Experience in Prime Finance business and related products is preferred · Domain knowledge of Asset Servicing, Corporate Actions lifecycle, and Tax Services · Hands-on expertise in:

o SQL (advanced querying, troubleshooting) o Python (scripting, automation, analysis) · Strong understanding of Trade lifecycle and Market connectivity workflows · Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think critically and adapt to new technologies · Experience with API documentation tools like Swagger or API Blueprint · Experience with agile development methodologies and similar frameworks including familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows · Solid understanding of database systems, MSSQL, PL SQL, with experience enhancing & maintaining store procedures · Proven ability to operate in a production support environment with tight SLAs

· Experience supporting Asset Services’ operations for Prime Finance or institutional trading businesses is preferred

· Knowledge of global markets, custody models, and cross-border implications

· Experience with vendor platforms (e.g., Broadridge, GLOSS, Global One, SwapOne, S&P IMActions, Geneva)

· DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring

in cloud environments, ensuring efficient and scalable software delivery.

· Architectural Knowledge: In-depth understanding of architectural principles, design patterns, and microservices

architecture, allowing for the design and implementation of robust and scalable solutions.

· Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse

stakeholders, technical and non-technical, to articulate complex concepts and guide developments.
