We are looking for a Commodities category and Risk Management professional responsible for the following key duties:
- Assist the Product team on Commodities initiatives, providing risk management expertise and recommendations for product enhancements
- Manage and monitor risk parameters for commodity trading activities through the Risk Management System (RMS), ensuring adherence to internal risk policies and exchange/regulatory requirements
- Monitor and analyse client positions, margins, exposure, limits, collateral, and risk controls to identify potential risks and ensure compliance
- Oversee day-to-day commodity risk management operations, including position reconciliation, margin calculations, and limit monitoring across trading platforms
- Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and controls specific to commodities trading activities
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports and analytics for senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and potential exposures
- Collaborate with exchange partners, clearing houses, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with external requirements and industry standards
- Lead incident management and escalation procedures for risk breaches or system anomalies, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Mentor and guide junior team members on risk management best practices and RMS platform utilisation
- Optimise RMS workflows and system configurations to enhance operational efficiency and risk monitoring capabilities
7-10 years in Commodities Product and Commodities Risk Management / RMS / Commodity Risk / Stock Broking / Capital Markets. Experience with RMS/OMS platforms, exchange interfaces, margin systems and commodity trading systems will be preferred.
