Pay Range: $29.01hr - $34.01hr
Job Overview:
This position is a critical resource within the Account Management Team providing consultative expertise on benefits, products, and capabilities to clients. Responsible for promoting and reinforcing new and existing products or services through the development and delivery of tactical marketing and communication initiatives. The candidate is directly responsible for aggressively growing group enrollment by marketing to the client s employee base while building and maintaining effective long-term relationships and satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers assigned to a group of strategic clients.
Essential Functions:
- Directly responsible for aggressively growing and retaining group enrollment by acting as the primary point of contact, leading benefit interpretation, claims analytics, and issue resolution for clients HR staff, brokers, and consultants on behalf of the organization. Requires discretionary judgment to deliver a superior client experience, traveling to in and out of state locations to meet client requirements and expectations. Serves as an integral partner of the account management team for new and renewing business, in sales strategy and benefit design modeling. Utilizes benefit expertise, business acumen, and knowledge base as a tool set to resolve client requirements and issues.
- Builds and maintains an active and strong cultivated relationship with clients, acting independently as a trusted advisor. Collects and analyzes data concerning consumer behavior to understand and share changing needs. Applies superior communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to resolve or triage inquiries to the respective business partners within the company. Serves as owner for documenting, tracking, coordinating, and closing account issues and communicating results back to the client.
- Participates in benefit analysis and development of structured programs to engage members, including open enrollment strategy, wellness services deployment, and implementation oversight acting in a consultative role to strengthen relationships and maximize value realization on behalf of the client.
- Partners with Account Managers in conducting nationwide employer and employee educational and communication meetings in person and virtually. Partners with the onboarding and account management team to assist with providing an exceptional client experience during new business implementation and renewing account retention.
- Reinforces with clients an understanding of legal developments and changes with regulations related to insurance carriers and Federal and State laws affecting clients, policies, and procedures to ensure compliant administration of benefit programs.

Scope: Freedom to Act:
Work is accomplished with moderate supervision. Follows established and detailed directions. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.
Problem Complexity and Problem Solving Timeframes:
Provides resolution to an assortment of problems that are typically well defined, but some clarification or judgment is required to determine action as additional information about the problem or task is discovered. Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. The majority of tasks take up to several weeks to resolve.
Level of Supervision Received:
Under general supervision, proceeds alone on regular duties, referring questionable cases to the supervisor.
Impact:
Failure to achieve results or erroneous judgments may require the allocation of additional resources to correct and achieve goals.
Contact with Others:
Frequently handles inter-organizational and outside customer or vendor contacts. Part of a team who represents the organization. Monitors activities and communicates information across the organization.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
Education Level:
Bachelor s Degree.
In Lieu of Education:
In lieu of a Bachelor s degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, sales support, implementation, benefit administration, service, or account management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Superior communication skills and knowledge of employee benefits issues necessary to effectively communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and prospects concerning employee benefit lines of coverage.
- Ability to problem solve, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, responsive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required; basic working knowledge of PowerPoint is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance information, technology, and new legislation.

- Current health and life license for respective jurisdictions is required.
