\nSpectric Labs is seeking a Software Platform Engineer/Systems Administrator with experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing a globally deployed, classified Linux-based research and development network and Kubernetes clusters. Successful candidates will have experience working on TS/SCI systems and networks and will be familiar with security policies, procedures, and tools. Ideal candidates will also have working knowledge of tools used in Kubernetes platform maintenance, including Kubernetes and Helm, as well as DevOps tools for development, building, and deploying software to the platform. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate within small, motivated teams to develop and deliver mission-critical solutions.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n· Linux Dev Ops Tools
\n- \n
- Experience with Linux-based system administration on Red Hat and Ubuntu operating systems. \n
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Podman). \n
- Experience with container deployment technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Helm, Nomad). \n
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps practices, with hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines, automation, and secure system integrations (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps). \n
- Experience with software application monitoring tools, including Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana. \n
- Strong knowledge of virtualization tools (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS). \n
- Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet and Ansible) for Linux-based servers. \n
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat Satellite for operating and securing RHEL environments. \n
- Experience with Foreman for lifecycle management of physical and virtual servers. \n
- Familiarity with package managers like APT, Yum, and RPM for software installation and updates \n
- Familiar with Linux networking concepts. \n
- System Optimization and Performance Tuning \n
- Lead advanced performance tuning initiatives for Linux servers, optimizing CPU, memory, disk I/O, and network performance to meet enterprise-level demands. \n
- Implement proactive monitoring strategies using advanced techniques to ensure system health and identify performance bottlenecks. \n
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across infrastructure, applications, and network systems, leveraging deep expertise in performance analysis and system diagnostics. \n
- Develop and maintain complex automation scripts (shell, Python, etc.) to manage large-scale tasks, such as automated deployments, patch management, and monitoring. \n
Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). \n
- 5-15 years of experience in Linux-based DevOps or systems administration, including managing enterprise-level infrastructures. \n
- Active TS/SCI clearance. \n
- Security+ certification. \n

Salary:
\nThe estimated salary range for this position is $100K-$190K. This range is not guaranteed and will depend on experience and qualifications.
