Job Description

SEN / SEND Tutor | Stoke-on-trent, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are an impact-driven organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our mission is to raise the standard of education for vulnerable learners through innovative and trauma-informed approaches.

The Role

  • Provide in-person, remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
  • Plan and report for lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
  • Work with local authorities and schools to transform the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners.
  • Offer a role with purpose, joining a child-centred community committed to reimagining support for vulnerable young people.

What You'll Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
  • Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
  • Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed).
  • Valid UK right to work.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
