Job Description



A leading enterprise transformation organization is seeking a Data Steward for a role focused on source-data cleansing and SAP conversion readiness.


About the Opportunity:



  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

  • Hours: Standard business

  • Setting: Remote


Responsibilities:



  • Lead cleansing, rationalization, enrichment, and readiness efforts for fixed asset master data and asset balances

  • Define data-quality rules for asset status, capitalization dates, useful life, depreciation attributes, asset classes, and organizational assignments

  • Identify duplicate, retired, inactive, incomplete, or out-of-scope assets and coordinate disposition decisions

  • Reconcile asset balances to legacy systems and the General Ledger, documenting variances and resolutions

  • Define legacy-to-SAP mappings, default values, selection criteria, enrichment needs, and transformation rules


Qualifications:



  • Experience supporting enterprise data transformation, migration, or conversion initiatives

  • Strong experience with source-data cleansing, rationalization, enrichment, mapping, and readiness

  • Experience defining object- and field-level data-quality rules and conversion scope

  • Experience supporting mock conversion cycles, validation, reconciliation, exception resolution, and cutover

  • Strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills

  • Ability to work with business owners, functional teams, data owners, and technical transformation teams

  • Knowledge of fixed-asset master data, capitalization, depreciation, asset balances, and asset accounting

  • Experience cleansing, mapping, validating, or converting fixed-asset data

  • Ability to reconcile asset data to financial records and investigate discrepancies


Desired Skills:



  • Experience with SAP Asset Accounting and SAP S/4HANA data conversion

  • Experience contributing to an end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition implementation

  • Familiarity with SAP best practices and future-state process and data design
