Algorithm Software Engineer | La Jolla, CA, United States | Hybrid | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

The Role

  • Contribute to the design and development of advanced systems within multi-disciplinary teams of software engineers, systems engineers, hardware specialists, and signal processing experts.
  • Design, implement, and test C applications in a real-time environment.
  • Analyze signal processing algorithms, often developed in MATLAB, and port them to C for execution on custom SoCs.
  • Optimize C code for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications, leveraging parallel processing for extreme real-time requirements.
  • Develop Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) tests to validate signal processing algorithms.
  • Communicate technical details of software solutions to diverse engineering teams.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 8+ years of software development experience with a strong background in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Solid understanding of linear algebra, probability, and basic signal processing concepts like Fourier transforms and filtering.
  • Familiarity with hardware-software interaction and computer architecture.
  • Experience with development tools such as GCC, CMake, or Make, and version control systems like Git.
  • A demonstrated motivation to continually learn new technical skills and concepts.
  • An active Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
