The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely and efficiently move shipping containers within an intermodal yard.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate placement and handling.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis, optimizing yard logistics.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily operations and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.
