For the Cloud Center of Excellence, we are looking for several Cloud Architects (m/f) Location: Berlin or Würzburg Application deadline: October 13, 2026 Employment: Full-time (Part-time is generally possible) Start date: Immediately Job posting number: 09-066-2026 Compensation: E13 TV EntgO-DRV (senior civil service) Scope of duties We are the Joint Data Center of the German Pension Insurance (DRV) with locations in Berlin and Würzburg.

We ensure the secure and high-performance operation of the infrastructure, compliance with relevant legal standards, cost predictability, cost-effectiveness, and IT consulting. We offer our employees efficient workflows and flexible work arrangements. The Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) shapes the secure and future-oriented use of cloud solutions within the DRV Bund. We create the conditions necessary for modern cloud technologies to be deployed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all security and regulatory requirements.

Our responsibilities include the centralized management of cloud solutions, support for cloud projects, and the management of cloud providers, costs, and compliance requirements. We are seeking several experienced cloud architects to support our division in the design and optimization of cloud architectures. In this role, you will combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and actively contribute to the further development of our cloud landscape. Your ResponsibilitiesProviding cross-organizational consulting and support for cloud solutions (e.

G., on AWS, StackIT, or Azure) Participating in expert committees and working groups, as well as in the further development of the cloud usage strategy Developing and implementing cloud architecture solutions aligned with the strategy Creating, deriving, and implementing architectural concepts and goals based on the DRV Bund's cloud usage strategy, in collaboration with other subject matter experts Analyzing and evaluating existing IT architectures and ensuring their continuous development Developing, documenting, and monitoring architecture standards, as well as coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Your Profile A completed university degree (bachelor's, diploma) in the field of IT or an equivalent qualification, such as a business administration certification or a completed IT vocational training program with relevant professional experience At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the field of cloud architecture Knowledge of network architectures, security concepts, databases, and container technologies, such as Kubernetes or Docker Experience with cloud architectures; Knowledge of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures is a plus; ideally, knowledge of the cloud platforms AWS, StackIT, and Azure (Any qualifications not yet held in the aforementioned technical areas can be acquired during onboarding through targeted training and, if necessary, certifications) A personable, professional demeanor and clear, respectful communication at all levels—you work in a structured yet independent manner and use your analytical skills to get to the heart of complex issues Fluency in spoken and written German We offer An interesting and varied role with all the benefits of a large public-sector employer After a thorough onboarding period, this position offers the option to work from home Excellent opportunities for professional development and continuing education Family-friendly, flexible, and service-oriented work schedules, supplemented by our support services and partner organizations to help balance work and family life (for parents and family caregivers) The health of our employees is important to us.
