Summary

• We are seeking experienced Client Application Developers to design, develop, enhance, and maintain electric power grid applications, including Energy Management Systems (EMS), Gridgeo, Real-Time Operator Communication (RTOC), and Network Model Management Systems (NMMS).
• The role involves full-stack development, application troubleshooting, testing, production support, and system modernization using Java, Spring Boot, React, Angular, Python, cloud technologies, and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise grid applications.
• Develop backend services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Build frontend applications using React, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and database solutions.
• Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production defects.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and security patching.
• Automate development and deployment processes using Jenkins, Maven, Git, and Bitbucket.
• Work with Docker, AWS/Azure, and containerized applications.
• Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude for software development and testing.
• Support data processing and pipelines using Databricks and Apache Airflow.
• Collaborate with business users, architects, project managers, and technical teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and support application releases.

Required Technical Skills:

• Backend: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC.
• Frontend: React, Angular 12+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Programming: Python, Shell Scripting.
• Database: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• DevOps: Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Ansible.
• Cloud/Containers: AWS, Azure, Docker, Docker Compose.
• AI/ML: GitHub Copilot, GPT, Claude, Prompt Engineering, LLMs, RAG.
• Data Engineering: Databricks, Apache Airflow, Data Pipelines.

Experience Requirements by Level:

• Level II (2+ Years): Application development, troubleshooting, testing, CI/CD, and production support.
• Level III (3+ Years): Advanced development, security patching, code reviews, automated testing, and business requirement analysis.
• Senior (5+ Years): System design, application architecture, performance optimization, technical guidance, and mentoring.
• Lead (8+ Years): Technical strategy, architecture standards, cross-team leadership, mentoring, and engineering roadmap development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in electric power utilities, grid operations, EMS, ISO/RTO environments, or energy markets.
• Knowledge of TIBCO JMS, ActiveMQ, Apache Kafka, and CIM/XML data models.
• Familiarity with NERC Reliability Standards, CIP protocols, PUCT rulings, and Nodal Protocols.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
