Data Scientist | Reston, VA | Hybrid

We're hiring on behalf of a leading technology company that provides innovative solutions for critical national security missions. This organisation is at the forefront of data science and technology, working on complex challenges that require an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to push boundaries.

The Role

  • Build statistical and machine learning models, including natural language processing (NLP), to solve complex business challenges.
  • Develop automated solutions for data processing and analysis.
  • Construct and execute complex database queries using SQL and API interfaces.
  • Perform web scraping and process unstructured data using various techniques.
  • Leverage automation and machine learning for data management, scenario prediction, and recommendations.
  • Utilize technologies such as AWS and Git for development and deployment.

What You'll Need

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 6-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Python for data science applications.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction from relational databases and APIs.
  • Experience with supervised/unsupervised learning and NLP, including familiarity with relevant libraries (e.g., spaCy, Hugging Face).
  • Solid understanding of frequentist statistics, probability, predictive modeling, computer science concepts, data architecture, and statistical methods.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn).
