The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers efficiently and safely from various transport methods including railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform essential pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and task management.
• Maintain a secure and orderly work environment by adhering to all established safety protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong focus on safety awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including availability for night shifts.
• Basic communication skills and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders/stairs.
