The Role

• Operate heavy equipment like hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks to ensure efficient yard operations.
• Drive hostlers to precisely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform daily pre- and post-use inspections on equipment to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container movements with yard personnel and supervisors for seamless workflow.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all established safety protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including second shift, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Open availability for shifts between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
