Overview
This position has the option to work virtually. Must reside in the state of WA, OR, ID, WI, FL, MT, TX, AZ, VA, TN.
The Financial Budget Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance analysis functions. This position partners with operational and clinical leaders to develop annual budgets, monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable financial insights that support strategic decision-making. The analyst plays a key role in maintaining financial discipline, supporting regulatory reporting requirements, and ensuring the integrity of financial planning and reporting processes.

Position Reports To

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager
Responsibilities
Perform budget variance analysis monthly and quarterly for Service Lines and meet monthly with operational leaders to present the results. Develop accurate proformas using the cost accounting system that are actionable for operational leaders. Work with and organize large amounts of data in multiple systems efficiently and accurately.

Provides technical assistance and customer service with end users related to Axiom training, variance reporting and transaction research
Axiom technical and maintenance duties for dimension structure, security, upgrades, budget plan files, timely scheduled reporting
Become an Axiom super-user with the ability to write reports accurately and proficiently. Assist in the perpetration of the annual budget and tracking adherence to the budget throughout the year.

Track and analyze the financial impact of projects related to Focused Growth, Productivity and HR, Revenue Cycle and Value Based Care, and Supply & Purchased Services opportunities implemented during the year. Provides end user training for new users, budget season specific training and group training as lead or support. Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree preferably related to business or accounting.
Ability to attend classes/seminars and complete certification(s) as assigned.
May require occasional travel.

Desired

3+ years professional healthcare experience related to accounting or budgeting.
Experience with Infor, Axiom, Epic, Excel.
Healthcare budgeting or accounting experience strongly preferred.
HFMA member.
