Job Description:
Apex Systems is hiring a Data Engineer for a large Healthcare client.
Location: Fully remote anywhere in the United States.

Role Overview
This role supports a key business initiative to migrate multiple Medicaid lines of business onto a standard, highly configurable enterprise platform. The successful candidate will join an agile scrum team focused on retiring a legacy system and consolidating the application framework. This position is a data engineer role centered on the extraction, preparation, and delivery of data.
Key Responsibilities

• Write basic to complex SQL statements, including multi-table joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
• Execute FastLoad or MultiLoad scripts with guidance.
• Apply Teradata-specific syntax such as QUALIFY, SAMPLE, and DATE arithmetic.
• Perform daily Git operations, including commits, pushes, pulls, and branching.
• Resolve merge conflicts and apply branching strategies like GitFlow or trunk-based development.
• Create clear merge request descriptions with context and testing notes.
• Provide specific and actionable feedback during code reviews.
• Configure new Medicaid plans onto the standardized platform.

Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required. Candidates must have proven SQL experience.

Work Environment
The role involves working as part of an agile scrum team. Performance is tracked through Jira task completion and daily GIT commits.
