PKI Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Irving, TX that is seeking a PKI Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain enterprise certificate and identity management infrastructure
• Manage the full lifecycle of digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, revocation, and replacement for users, devices, applications, and systems
• Implement and support security controls, policies, and standards related to encryption, authentication, and certificate management
• Design and maintain automated processes to streamline certificate administration and security operations
• Support cryptographic key management activities, including key generation, storage, rotation, and retirement
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to certificates, authentication, encryption, and secure communications
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, architecture diagrams, and operational guidelines
• Participate in security initiatives, risk assessments, incident response activities, and continuous improvement efforts.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of experience in information security, infrastructure security, systems administration, or a related technical field
• Experience supporting certificate management, identity security, or similar security-focused infrastructure platforms
• Strong knowledge of digital certificates, encryption technologies, authentication mechanisms, and secure communication protocols
• Experience managing certificate lifecycle processes, including enrollment, issuance, renewal, and revocation
• Understanding of cryptographic key management concepts and best practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with automation, scripting, or process improvement tools
• Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
