Job Title: Product Owner – Store Systems (Retail)
Location: Irving, TX (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Duration: Long term
Pay rate: $55/hr. - $60/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in Retail Store Systems to join our team supporting 7-Eleven through Infosys. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in retail environments, managing store technology products, gathering business requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive product strategy from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the product backlog for Store Systems initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, store operations teams, and technology teams to define product vision, roadmap, and priorities.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, customer needs, and organizational goals.
- Work closely with Scrum teams during sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business users and development teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Ensure Store Systems solutions align with operational processes and improve in-store customer and associate experiences.
- Coordinate testing activities, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments.
- Monitor product performance and gather user feedback to drive continuous improvements.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers while working with stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
- Support product releases and communicate updates across business and technical teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in a retail environment.
- Strong experience working with Retail Store Systems.
- Solid understanding of retail business processes and store operations.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong expertise in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Ability to prioritize competing business needs and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting convenience retail, grocery, or large-scale retail organizations.
- Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS), Store Inventory, Pricing, Promotions, Loyalty, Store Operations, or Workforce Management systems.
- Experience integrating Store Systems with enterprise platforms.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience working with distributed or offshore development teams.
