The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move and position shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a high standard of safety and adhere to established operational protocols.
• Contribute to the smooth flow of freight by ensuring accurate and timely container handling.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing stairs/ladders on railcars.
• Open availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Willingness to undergo background verification, physical, and drug screening.
