Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced aerospace systems. The selected candidate will contribute to the development of guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, flight software, simulations, and system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles and mission platforms.
This role requires strong analytical skills, expertise in aerospace engineering principles, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, and validate Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) algorithms for aerospace vehicles and mission systems.
• Develop and execute simulations to evaluate vehicle performance, flight characteristics, stability, and mission capabilities.
• Support flight software development, integration, and verification activities.
• Utilize Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, modeling environments, and simulation frameworks to perform complex system analyses.
• Perform trajectory analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, and trade studies to evaluate system performance and design alternatives.
• Collaborate with systems, software, avionics, and hardware engineering teams throughout development and testing activities.
• Lead technical studies, baseline definition efforts, and system maturation activities in complex development environments.
• Support product development activities from concept through design, testing, qualification, and deployment.
• Analyze sensor performance, vehicle dynamics, and mission requirements to ensure system-level success.
• Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering decision-making processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant aerospace engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Advanced experience with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools, modeling, analysis, and simulation environments.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering and product development teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to support complex technical programs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, C++, or similar modeling and software development tools.
• Experience developing Guidance and/or Navigation algorithms.
• Knowledge of aerospace vehicle systems, sensor suites, and mission operations.
• Understanding of vehicle stability, control systems, and flight dynamics.
• Experience performing Monte Carlo analysis and trajectory modeling.
• Familiarity with aerospace engineering methodologies including:
• Parametric Design
• Model-Based Definition (MBD)
• Flight Dynamics
• System Performance Analysis
• Experience leading technical baselines, trade studies, and analysis of alternatives.
• Background supporting aerospace, defense, aviation, or advanced technology programs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs as needed.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer-based engineering activities.
• Occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

• Primarily office and engineering laboratory environment.
• Limited exposure to outdoor conditions.
• Minimal exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, or loud noise.
