The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for stacking and organizing containers.
• Conduct essential pre and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and container movements.
• Uphold a safe work environment by strictly following established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
