If you're someone who is well-organised, has a great eye for detail and gets satisfaction from knowing everything is in the right place, with the right person, at the right time, this could be a great role for you.
We’re looking for a Legacy Administration Assistant to be part of the engine that keeps our Legacy Administration Team moving. as we build relationships with family members and solicitors, while ensuring that we maximise the benefit Marie Curie receives from the very generous gifts that our supporters leave in their Wills.
It might be a 14-hour-a-week role, but it is one that is vital to the efficient functioning of the team. From setting up new legacy cases and making sure correspondence gets to the right person, to processing income and keeping our records accurate and up to date, you’ll help make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Your Responsibilities:
You’ll help keep the team’s day-to-day administration running smoothly, including:
- Scanning incoming post and adding it to the correct legacy record
- Setting up new legacy cases, ensuring information is accurate
- Adding legacy income records/payment records to our case management system
- Responding to enquiries by phone and email
- Keeping our case management system accurate and up to date
- Looking out for anything urgent and making sure it reaches the right person ASAP
- Supporting the team to work effectively and efficiently in line with Key Performance Indicators
Key Criteria:
- Has a brilliant eye for detail
- Is organised and comfortable managing their own workload
- Has experience with administration, data entry or databases
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Communicates clearly and confidently
- Enjoys being part of a team while also being comfortable getting on with things independently
- Brings a positive, proactive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm.
You don’t need to be a legacy expert. Previous legacy administration experience and/or knowledge of probate law is desirable, but not essential. We’re much more interested in finding someone with strong administration and data-entry experience, great attention to detail and a positive, proactive approach.
