The client is seeking a grants management contractor and implementation specialist to provide guidance and hands-on support in the design and implementation of grant management systems and business processes, industry best practices and software solutions.
  • Provide strong expertise and guidance in order to support The client is implementing a pilot Grant Management platform with the aim of migrating all grant activity into the new platform early next calendar year
  • Serve a s a su bject matter expert in grant management practices and federal uniform guidance standards.
  • Work with dedicated SMEs to assess current work processes as they relate to the entire grant life cycle and illustrate how to best integrate those processes into the software platform
  • Develop and implement processes within grants management software.
  • Assess and advise the agency on common/best practices and identify operation efficiencies as they relate to grant applications, review and contract agreements.
  • Assess and advise the agency on common/best practices as it relates to paying grantee invoices (claims), grant accounting and reporting and how to best capture these practices using software platforms
  • Assess and advise the agency on monitoring grant expenditures (including identifying inactivity) and the grant close-out/de-programming process.
  • Work closely with client staff and system vendors to improve workflows and processes.
  • Develop materials to support system changes, policy and procedures changes, training, etc. (including developing process workflow diagrams and field dictionaries)
  • Document all decision points and obtain approvals
  • Update and/or provide oversight with developing policies and procedures on revised workflows.
  • Provide weekly status updates and communicate issues and/or risks identified.
