Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Cloud Migration Engineer to join our team for a high-priority, short-term project continuing a multi-year cloud migration initiative. In this role, you will focus on moving on-premises applications to the cloud and driving cloud adoption for existing consumer-facing cloud applications.
Please note: This is an application-focused software engineering role, not a DevOps position.
Key Responsibilities
- Migrate major applications from on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud environments.
- Optimize and scale existing cloud applications to enhance consumer adoption and performance.
- Design and manage deployments using Kubernetes and EKS, leveraging Helm charts and Single-Threaded Owner (STO) principles.
- Ensure secure application access by implementing OAuth2 and JWT authentication standards.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within an Agile framework to meet end-of-year project milestones.

Required Skills

- Experience: 8+ years of professional Software Engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of direct experience in cloud migration and architecture.
- Core Backend: Strong foundational background in Java development.
- Cloud & Containerization: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, EKS, and Kubernetes (specifically requires deep knowledge of Helm charts and the Single-Threaded Owner model).
- Security: Solid understanding and implementation experience with OAuth2 and JWT.
- Methodology: Proven experience working efficiently within an Agile environment.
