Vice President, ESG Data Solutions & Controls

BNY Mellon seeks a Vice President, ESG Data Solutions & Controls to lead the design, governance, and control framework for ESG data across global investment and servicing platforms. In this role, you will define the ESG data strategy, oversee vendor data integration, and implement robust quality, lineage, and risk controls to meet client, regulatory, and internal standards. Partnering with technology, risk, compliance, and product teams, you will drive digital and data innovation, deliver reliable ESG insights to institutional and wealth clients, and build a high-performing global ESG data team within BNY's culture of integrity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead ESG data solutions strategy and roadmap for BNY's global finance platforms
• Design and implement robust ESG data controls, quality, and governance frameworks
• Partner with risk, compliance, investment, and technology teams to integrate ESG data into core products
• Oversee selection, onboarding, and monitoring of ESG data vendors and data pipelines
• Establish ESG data policies, standards, and control testing in line with regulatory expectations
• Use analytics to improve ESG data coverage, accuracy, and timeliness for clients and internal stakeholders
• Build and lead a high performing ESG data and controls team across global locations
• Report ESG data risk, control effectiveness, and KPIs to senior executives and regulators as needed
• Drive innovation in digital and data driven ESG solutions for institutional and wealth clients
• Champion a culture of integrity, risk management, and continuous improvement in ESG data practices
