Title: Cybersecurity Architect Security Clearance: TS/SCI + CI Poly
Work Hours: Individuals need to start their days no later than 8:30 am Work Location: 100% onsite in one of the following locations:
- Washington, DC - Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) 200 MacDill Blvd SW, Washington, DC (free parking)
- Reston, VA - 12300 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA
Onboarding Process: Crossover takes about 6-8 weeks, could be faster if coming from DIA
- Program goes through 6/15/2031
- Prime or Sub: BAH is the Prime, we are a sub
- Mission: ECST ensures that the cybersecurity tools DIA relies on are properly selected, set up, connected, and maintained so the agency can safely carry out its intelligence mission. On this contract, Booz Allen integrates and manages the cybersecurity tools that protect the agency’s systems, data, and mission from cyber threats Must Haves:
- Active TS/SCI + Polygraph Security clearance
- Associate’s degree and 10+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience supporting IT projects, or 12+ years of experience supporting IT projects and activities in lieu of a degree
- 8+ years of experience with Cybersecurity, including 5+ years of experience with leading technical project delivery for large, complex organizations
- 5+ years of experience in network architecture and design
- Experience with architecting Zero Trust solutions, road maps, and capabilities in alignment with industry standards, including NIST 800-207 and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture
- Experience with leading product selection initiatives, including perimeter defense, zero trust, A&O, AI, analytics, secure DevOps, identity and access management, or network access control
- Ability to work with and guide senior leaders, including CISO, CIO, and CTO, and executives to ideate, build, and execute cybersecurity capability maturation
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support (CSSP-IS) Certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND certification within 30 days of offer accept
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+), CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP certification within 45 days of CSSP-IS date (or offer accept if candidate already has CSSP-IS Cert) or 45 days after CSSP-IS if CSSP-IS is also needed.

- Experience in a Cybersecurity compliance, operations, or engineering leadership role
- Experience with selecting, designing, and implementing security tools and capabilities for large, complex federal or commercial organizations
- Ability to collaborate with project and proposal teams effectively to incorporate Cybersecurity solutions and develop high-quality implementation plans and roadmaps
- Ability to author technical documentation and whitepapers and blogs on leading Cybersecurity topics and concepts
- Experience with innovative Cybersecurity capabilities, including A&O, AI and machine learning, NGFW, and Big Data
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills Day to Day:
Responsibilities Include
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise cybersecurity solutions supporting mission-critical environments.
- Develop Zero Trust strategies, roadmaps, and technical architectures aligned with federal and DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Lead the design of secure network and system architectures, developing tailored solutions that balance security requirements with mission objectives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert across cybersecurity domains including cloud security, IoT security, identity and access management (IAM), automation and orchestration (A&O), and machine learning.
- Advise senior government and technical leadership on cybersecurity modernization efforts, capability development, and risk reduction strategies.
- Evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of cybersecurity technologies across areas such as perimeter defense, Zero Trust, secure DevOps, automation, analytics, and AI-driven security solutions.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and stakeholder teams to identify complex security challenges and develop scalable enterprise solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship while supporting project execution, strategic planning, and cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
- Develop technical documentation, implementation plans, and strategic recommendations to support long-term cybersecurity objectives.
