Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

NOW HIRING: AMMONIA REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN
Location: Abilene, TX
Pay: $35.00 per hour
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with ammonia refrigeration equipment.
Job Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect and maintain compressors, evaporators, condensers, pumps, and valves.
• Monitor system pressures, temperatures, and overall performance.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and Process Safety Management (PSM) safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems required.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration equipment and mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with ammonia safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• RETA certification (CARO/CIRO) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
