Job Description



Senior IT Project Manager / Program Manager, ERP Transformation


We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager or Program Manager to lead planning, assessment, and business-case activities for a large-scale ERP modernization initiative involving the transition from an on-premises environment to a future ERP.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead pre-implementation ERP assessment, design, and project planning activities.

  • Support evaluation of proposed finance business-process changes and their technology and organizational impacts.

  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, impacts, and key decisions.

  • Help establish a recommended ERP transformation and implementation path.

  • Lead or support development of the ERP business case.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and an external consulting/domain-expertise partner.

  • Support ERP sourcing and solution-selection activities.

  • Participate in implementation-partner selection and contract negotiations.

  • Manage senior executive and C-suite stakeholders.

  • Potentially continue into implementation and delivery depending on the selected approach.


Required Experience



  • Demonstrated leadership of large, complex enterprise technology programs with significant scale, risk, complexity, and duration.

  • Strong experience delivering projects using Waterfall SDLC methodologies.

  • Experience managing structured technology initiatives through phases such as:

    • Design

    • Configuration

    • Testing

    • Deployment/go-live



  • Experience implementing enterprise COTS software solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage executive and C-suite stakeholders.

  • Experience coordinating complex initiatives involving multiple business and technology stakeholders.


Highly Preferred



  • Direct ERP implementation, upgrade, migration, or conversion experience.

  • Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, or comparable large-enterprise ERP experience.

  • Experience with large COTS transformations involving substantial system integrations.

  • PMP certification.

  • 10+ years of relevant project/program management experience.
